Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Towing Capacity

The most recent model (2019) of Chevrolet Silverado features several powerful engine options for customers to explore. Each of which offers quality towing capacity. However, the maximum towing capacity for the Silverado is generated by the 6.2L V8 engine with DFM and MaxTrailering Package. This engine option generates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. When this engine is equipped on the Double-Cab, Standard Box LTZ trim level with four-wheel drive, the Chevrolet Silverado reaches its maximum towing capacity of 12,200 pounds.

Ford F-150 Towing Capacity

Like the Silverado, the most recent model (2019) of the Ford F-150 also features a variety of powerful engine options as well. The maximum towing capacity for the F-150 is generated by the 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine. When this engine is equipped on the two-wheel drive SuperCrew cab with 6.5-Foot Styleside Bed, the Ford F-150 is able to reach its maximum towing capacity of 13,200 pounds. As you can see, with this build, the Ford F-150 offers significantly higher towing capacity than the Chevy Silverado!
